About the boat:
Stella Oceana was built in 1964 in Sweden as a bunker boat. Her purpose was to transport oil to bigger ships through the ice in the Northern Gulf of Bothnia. She was rebuilt in 1991 into a custom sailing yacht with an unlimited budget and no time constraints. The quality, detail and design of the rebuild was exceptional and has been extraordinarily well maintained over the last 3 decades.
She was flagged in Denmark from 1994-2019, and was most recently flagged in Norway. At 118 tons, 23.9 meters long and 5 meters wide, this slim & heavy ship is extremely sturdy, steady, and sails smoothly with great fuel efficiency. Stella Oceana is a certified passenger ship and has an ice classification of 1c. There are 3 guest cabins with 8 beds total. 2 cabins with 2 single beds, and 1 cabin with 4 single beds. Current cruising areas range between Hammerfest, Lyngen, Tromsø, Lofoten and Bergen.
