Learn about the local environment, the history of the fishing industry in Lofoten, and fillet the fish on board. Vestfjorden has a healthy and rich ecosystem of marine life that is well managed. The water is clean and the air is fresh. If the conditions are right, we will put out the sails and sail with the wind. You never know what may be at the end of the fishing line, but some common fish in the area depending on the seasons are cod, pollock, mackerel and herring.
We have all the fishing gear you need (we use fishing poles) and there is complimentary coffee, tea, water, cookies, and wifi onboard. There are two spacious outer decks, and a large warm saloon inside.
The boat, S/Y Stella Oceana is 118 tons, 32 meters long, and 5 meters wide. It is an ice class ship and is extremely stable, safe, comfortable, and spacious. Other drinks can be purchased on board. We can not guarantee that you will catch a fish, but we will take you to the best fishing areas.
In order to operate the tour we need a minimum of 8 people. If the minimum is not reached we will contact you in advance to refund, reschedule, or discuss private charter options.
